Waterberg Plateau Park
With the enigmatic red sandstone walls of the Waterberg Plateau as backdrop, this historically important area covers all the bases for a great weekend getaway. The Waterberg National park provides a safe haven for endangered species thanks to the approx. 100m high cliffs that offer limited access to the top of the plateau.
Hikes for all fitness levels, swimming pool where one can relax and rejuvenate as well as an abundance of wildlife ensures that the whole family is happy.
A great component in longer tours heading to the Northern areas of Namibia, Waterberg is a good stopover or destination.

Arrive at Waterberg Plateau Park in the late afternoon, pitch camp and go for a stroll to admire the red sandstone walls and spot a pair of Damara Dik-diks while your guide prepare a scrumptious dinner on the fire.
Today we head onto the plateau in a specialised safari vehicle with Park Rangers.
Also on the program is a historically interesting walking trail pertaining to the Herero-German war and its biggest battle which occurred here.
In the late afternoon we hike up onto the plateau to enjoy a sundowner whilst looking out over the otherwise flat Kalahari landscape stretching off into the distance.
This morning we enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we break up camp and start our journey back to Windhoek which we reach in the late afternoon.
