Grootvadersbosch
bike/Hike or relax out there in
Grootvadersbosch Conservancy area
From our base at Noukrans Bushcamp we explore the Grootvarsbosch Conservancy area by bike or boot. This pristine area consists of fynbos, critically endangered Renosterveld and Afromontane forests with a great diversity of species.
Cycle routes rated easy to challenging are available in the area, catering for all levels of rider.
Hikers have a range of easy to moderate day trails to choose from.
We go for a swim in the spectacular Noukrans canyon to cool of after an active day and enjoy an early morning excursion the next day before we say our goodbyes and head back home.

itinerary
When you arrive at basecamp, you’ll find camp and tents pitched, a cosy campfire burning and something cold in fridge as welcome.
While you settle in or set up your bike, our guide prepares a hearty meal to give us power for the morrow!
This evening we do a full briefing for the excursions of the next day.
After breakfast we head out on our chosen activity for the day, taking our lunch packs to be enjoyed picnic style in nature.
Depending on the weather, we go for a short walk and swim between the steep cliff faces of the Noukrans Gorge before you relax at the campfire while your guide prepares a “proper Braai” for supper.
On clear nights we keep a sharp lookout for shooting stars while we enjoy natures nocturnal symphony and wind down after a fun filled day.
After a quick coffee & rusks breakfast, we hit the trail for 2-3 hours before we arrive back at camp hungry and ready for the hearty, warm breakfast prepared by your guide.
Time to say goodbyes to crew, Noukrans and the Grootvadersboch Concervancy before we head back home with renewed energy.
