The San people are the oldest inhabitants of southern Africa where they lived for at lest 20,000 years. Their home was the Kalahari Desert and they left behind clear signs of their rich culture.
Tools from the Early Stone age have been discovered on Auros Farm proving that even the early hunter-gatherer communities also utilized the abundant water resources in the arid land.
On this hike we follow the footsteps of ancient communities by making our way through the dense bush to get the fresh water sources and traversing the calm dune plains to reach ancient settlements.
Hike +/- 12 km
After a leisurely breakfast we make our way back north and make a few stops along route to get to know the community in the area.
